Exploring St Kitts
St Kitts and sister island, Nevis offer visitors an authentic Caribbean experience. Unmanicured and uncommercialised, there’s a genuine friendly vibe on both islands and plenty to see and do, particularly if you have an interest in Caribbean history and culture.
For somewhere to stay, there are a number of restored Plantation homes operating as upmarket hotels and inns. Ottleys or Rawlins Plantation Inns on St Kitts for example or Hermitage and Montpellier on Nevis. Resort style accommodation is on offer at the Marriott on St Kitts or for a laid back, great value beachside hotel, try Timothy Beach Resort.
It takes a little while to get under the skin of St Kitts but if you get out and about and explore, and most importantly meet some of the locals, you’ll soon begin to appreciate its unique personality and charm.
