Adeje
Located on the southwest of Tenerife the coast, known as Costa Adeje, has in recent years undergone major development and offers hotels of a very high quality. The area has a surprising wealth of marine life, with one of the world´s most important colonies of whales and dolphins. Arona is one of the most important tourist areas in the island including parts of Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos From Los Cristianos port, there are ferry and catamaran connections to neighbouring islands such as La Gomera. In Arona there is a diverse choice of sports, with two golf courses and watersports widely available.

Guía de Isora is on the opposite tip of the island from Santa Cruz. It is a well-known farming centre producing tomatoes and bananas as the main crops. Water sports, fishing and spear fishing are available at the beaches of San Juan and Alcalá.

Vilaflor, at over 1,400 metres above sea level, is immersed in pine forests and almond groves. The area is ideal for walking, climbing, mountain biking and paragliding. In addition, there are features of

Garachico
Garachico is a fishing town on the edge of the Atlantic, just over 60kms from the capital, Santa Cruz. Rebuilt after 1706 when the former town had been buried by volcanic lava, the town has its own unique charm. Many of the houses have large internal courtyards, enormous doorways and shady hallways which give the buildings a remarkable atmosphere. A truly lovely area and highly recommended for those seeking peace and tranquillity mixed with local culture.

Low fares airline Monarch offers year round flights to Tenerife from Birmingham, London Gatwick, London Luton and Manchester airports with fares, including taxes, starting from £77.50 one way (£138.99 return).
Seats can be pre-booked at £6 per one-way flight to avoid the last minute free-for-all, or for only £25, extra-legroom seats are available, which offer up to six inches of extra space.
Passengers travelling on scheduled flights can also avoid the queues at the airport and take advantage of online check-in which is available between seven days and 4.5 hours prior to departure.
