Itinerary details

Lavender fieldsDay 1

Travel by Eurostar from St Pancras or Ebbsfleet to Lille and onwards to Avignon by TGV. On arrival, transfer by coach under tour manager's direction to hotel for check in for 5-night stay on room and continental breakfast basis.

Day 2

Full day excursion to Aix-en-Provence and the Luberon.

Day 3

Morning excursion to Uzes and the Pont du Gard. Afternoon free.

Day 4

Full day excursion to Orange and Chateauneuf-du-Pape.

Full day excursion to Arles, Baux-de-Provence and the Camargue.

Day 6

Travel by TGV from Avignon to Lille and onwards by Eurostar to Ebbsfleet or St Pancras.

BRISTOL HOTEL

Located on the main thoroughfare in central Avignon, the Bristol enjoys a superb location in the heart of the city. Facilities at this traditional 3-star hotel include bar and comfortable bedrooms with private bath/shower, TV and telephone. There is also a ground floor brasserie (under separate management) serving inexpensive meals throughout the day.

AVIGNON GRAND

The superior 4-star Avignon Grand Hotel is located directly opposite the old city walls and a 10 minute walk to the main square. The upgrade supplement is £160 per person. The single room supplement here is £220 total. All rooms are spacious with modern facilities.

Provence train holiday notes

As with most trains, passengers are responsible for carrying baggage onto and off the train. Baggage can be stored on overhead shelves or at the entrance to the carriages.Trolleys are available at St Pancras and Lille, but bags do need to be carried on to the platform.
