It’s not hard to understand why Malta is such a popular choice for winter sun holidays. The climate of course is so much better than our own but, on top of that, the island has a wonderful friendly feel and a great deal to offer in terms of places to go and things to do.

Given our historical links, many things will seem familiar; English is widely spoken, they drive on the left and you even still see the old familiar red post and phone boxes. That said, having not visited for many years, I was impressed to see how the island has moved with the times and yet still retains its own individual character and strong sense of identity.
