Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa

Set in 170 acres of private gardens and parkland, Alexander House and Utopia Spa offers a wealth of choice for a luxury short break or overnight stay. The original building dates back to the 17th century and, with the addition of the luxurious new Spa wing in 2006, the hotel presents an intriguing combination of old and new.
The hotel has been awarded two AA Rosettes for high standards of cuisine, together with four AA Red stars. It is an AA Top 200 hotel and also a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

All 38 bedrooms and suites are individually furnished and include Master Suites, two of which have four poster beds. Spa bedrooms and suites are situated above Utopia with direct access to the spa facilties. All rooms have views of the gardens and surrounding countryside.

Utopia Spa

Arrive at Utopia Spa through a Gothic corridor with marble, granite and the sound of trickling water. The atmosphere is relaxed and spacious but welcoming and friendly. There are areas to be active and areas to be quiet and enjoy the tranquillity.

The subterranean setting of the pools with their stone columns and domed ceilings are truly what a spa is all about - water and relaxation. Water treatments abound in the three pools with their unique features all waiting to be discovered or pamper yourself and relax in the changing suites, each with its own steam room, sauna and monsoon showers.

Treatments are extensive and many unique to Utopia. Two persons treatment suites are available as well as a dedicated pedicure, manicure and hairdressing studio.

The relaxation room opens onto the veranda and grand ballustrated staircase down to the tranquil Spa Garden. Here the hot spa pool bubbles away and loungers invite you to linger - this is true relaxation.
